We’re committed to providing a place for you to experience whole person wellness by expanding our services to address your body, mind, and spirit. Finding balance in our lives isn’t easy and Move It Studio aims to provide support for you in your wellness journey.

Wellness Services

A year ago we created our Sanctuary Space with the addition of an Infrared Sauna. We are excited to expand our Wellness Services to include Reiki and Energy Healing and Nutrition Services.

Infrared Sauna

Individual infrared sauna sessions in the Move It sanctuary include additional time to allow you to fully embody relaxation. With a meditation area, vanity station, and spa music, you’ll be transported before even stepping into the sauna. Choose the chromotherapy you prefer, use the provided bamboo wraps, and take time to recover with fresh water immediately following.

What’s the difference between steam saunas and infrared? Steam rooms and saunas heat the air and create humid conditions that in turn heat the body. Infrared saunas produce the same infrared heat produced by the sun using advanced therapy with only a small percentage heating the air. This radiant heat increases the thermal energy in joints, muscles and tissues. This results in a deeper sweat and at a lower ambient air temperature. Infrared saunas usually operate between 115° – 135°F, while traditional saunas can get up to 195°F. The Clearlight® Infrared Sauna used at Move It offers full-spectrum infrared benefits (near, mid, and far).

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that is based on restoring and bringing into balance our energetic system. It is a holistic and intuitive light-touch therapy that brings energetic flow to our bodies.

Receiving Reiki is an invitation to slow down. It brings energetic flow that can support with: acute and chronic physical pain, anxiety, depression, reproductive health, sleep health, ancestral and intergenerational trauma, life transitions, inner child healing, and so much more.

Move It Studio has two experienced Reiki practitioners who offer personalized Reiki and Energy Healing sessions in our sanctuary.

Nutrition

In a world filled with conflicting information about nutrition and health, our mission is to cut through the noise and provide you with personalized guidance tailored to your specific needs and goals. We believe in a realistic approach, centered around empowering you through informed choices that align with your preferences. 

We’ve partnered with Lancaster’s Dietician, our very own Pilates teacher, Ellen Zeswitz, to provide you with guidance around nutrition. Ellen is passionate about combining movement with hormonal health for women through food. And, she’s offering office hours at Move It!

Pop in to chat with Ellen about your questions, concerns, and find out more about what she offers on Tuesday mornings from 9 AM to 10:30 AM and every Second Saturday from 10 AM till NOON. This is a great FREE opportunity to have one-on-one time with a highly qualified, registered dietician who is all about body positivity. We are delighted to have such expertise and thoughtfulness on our team! 

Movement Classes

In addition to our various barre and pilates classes, we offer adult dance. Adult dance offerings include ballet, hip hop, and New York style salsa on 2.

Recently we added even more opportunities to move it! We now offer yoga and have expanded our adult dance classes to include jazz and modern.

Yoga

Move It Flow is a vinyasa yoga inspired class with an eclectic mix of music to accompany your flow. Taught by expert teachers, this class will give you the benefits of yoga along with the inspiration of a small studio environment.

Kundalini Yoga combines a set of postures, breathing practices, meditations, and relaxation techniques. It is an ancient science that works on your 7 chakras, the arcline and your aura. It focuses on the mind, body and spirit. In this class you will see a blend of chanting, movements, breathwork, conscious conversations and Reiki.

Adult Dance

Beginning Adult Jazz is an exploration of style and presentation. Rooted in the rhythm of jazz music, jazz dance is a true American art form. Join the one and only Jasmin Pantoja for jazz dance to fun classics and pop music.

Beginning Adult Modern will introduce you to the basic concepts of modern dance. The class will include stretches, ground work, center combinations, and across-the-floor movement. Whether you’re new to dance or coming back to it, this class will be perfect for you and everyone is welcome!

Your Relaxation Space

If you have ever been in our studio you know what a special place it is. From the second floor view overlooking central market (the hub of Lancaster City), to the gorgeous original woodwork, and the aristic flair you will be transported when you walk into our warm, welcoming space.

It’s an amazing place to move it, and is available to rent for your individual or company use. The central downtown location includes an open space, two bathrooms, and kitchenette. Add-on options available: catering, event coordination, decor, dance classes, or infrared sauna use.
